They let hester keep her child pearl. So hester went on with living her life and doing clothes and other things to sell so she could support pearl. It goes on to talk about Roger Chillingworth and who he is and how he really was before getting to boston and seeing his wife standing in the middle of a crowed with a baby in her arms. At that time roger was looking foward to finding his wife after three years and starting a family with a new home. Now roger had a new and dark purpose and he chose the reverend Mr. Dimmesdale as a spiritual guide. Roger wsas now a physician with great knowledge and skill. Soon roger would take good care of the reverend.
Roger learned that reverend dimmesdale had a secret that was causing him a illness and that was putting him in great sufferage.

Roger learned that the reverend Dimmesdale was the one that commited the sin with hester. He and hester were responsible for that bad sin that hester has to carry for the rest of her life. The difference was that hester was put in sin in front of everyone and was made to carry a scarlet letter for the rest of her life and the reverend was like nothing because no one knew. It was rogers mission to make the reverend suffer for what he did to hester. how he did Roger wrong and roger was in charge of making the reverend pay for what happened. Hester had a word with roger and told him to leave it to god and to his faith of what is in the future for reverend dimmesdale. She told him to leave him alone and not hurt him because life will take care of that.
What will Roger do to The Reverend?

Hester Prynne is in nervous excitement. She was brought back to her jail sail and was acting very strange and was going to be seen by a doctor. His name was Roger Chillingworth and he was skilled in christian modes of physical science. When Hester saw him she stood as still as death. The doctor looked at the baby who was in great pain also and told hester to give him this medicine he was offering her. Hester hesitated because she wasnt sure of the medicine so the doctor himself gave the medicine to the baby. Next he checked her and gave her another medicine which she also hesitated in drinking but at the end did. Then Hester realizes that this doctor is no other than her husband, the man who she had not heard of in two years. He was facing her and knew of her sin and said he wouldnt kill her with the medicine he gave her but make her suffer with the scarlet letter she had to wear for the rest of her life. Her husband told her to keep the secret of her lover and well that he would find who it was that made her sin and that he will make him pay.

Time passes and Hester does her time in jail and is now free to face the town and the world. She decided to exclude herself from everyone and go out and live on the outskirts of town in a small thatched cottage. Hester with no friends or family was alone and had to find a way to feed and provide for her daughter. So hester used her skill in needlework so that her and her daughter would never be in need of food or clothes. Soon her daughter became an infant a beautiful little girl. She decided to name her Pearl because of how beautiful she was and because that was all she had. Pearl had the best clothes her mother could make and looked very pretty. Soon pearl was old enought to play with other kids but there was no one around and when they went into town pearl new there was a border and she could not play with the other kids. Pearl was a beautiful child but had a personality of her own.

How do you think Pearl will be when she gets older?
