After Blimas grandfather passes away Blima starts noticing how the Nazis signal out the jews and how there power is coming in effect. One day as Blima was coming home from her aunts bakery she is snached from behind. Seeing her mother Blima is picked up by the gestepo, the nazi police and is taken away to the nightmare that just begins. She is taken on a long and cold journey were there is no food and there is people dyeing along the way and no one stops to help. Blima along with others is put in a labor camp somewhere in Poland. The year is 1941 and she becomes a prisoner. They take her clothes and shave her hair also she is no longer a person but a number 44703. Blima has to sow clothes and does this everyday and with harley or no food at all. She meets a lady named Gizella and this lady gives her food and helps her survive. Blima survives three years and then is evacuated to a new camp the date is now January 21,1945. The new journey is longer and with no food and more people dyeing its more difficult to survive. The same jews are put to bury the dead and are killed when there finished. After eleven days and nights they arrive at Bergen-Belsen here Blima is reunited with her sister in law Ruschia. They cry together and think about what happen but are thankful their together. Ruschia is very sick because of the desease caused by the dead bodies.

Its now April 15,1945 there is no food for six days. There in the camp talking to people Blima and Ruschia learn that Blimas brother and Ruschias husband Victor is alive and soon he arrives at the camp. Then later by talking and getting to know more people and also being liberated from the camp Blima is reunited with her brother Kalman. They all stay together and move from place to place trying to live in a new place away from the camp. Blima soon realizes she needs to marry so she wont be alone and wont be with Victor her whole life. By one of Blimas cousins she meets a man named Chiel and decides to get to know him and get married. They marry on April 25,1947 and they set up a home close to some cousins of Chiel. Later Chiel gets a letter that one uncle and aunt he has in America will sponser them so Blima and Chiel can go to America. Blima decides to leave and even though she will be away from Victor and Ruschia she will have a new life away from her pain.

Do you think thats the best thing to do to leave to America and start a new life.? Even though Blima will be leaving the family she has left behind.
